Why Philadelphia?
Philadelphia, The City of Brotherly Love
Philadelphia is the most populous city in Pennsylvania but it is not the state capitol. It is a city rich in American history. You cannot walk among the cobblestone pathways and not notice the many plaques and markers everywhere to signify a special historical moment.
It was founded in 1682 by an English Quaker and religious freedom advocate, William Penn. There is a statue of William Penn on the top of the city hall building. It was once determined that no building would be taller than the William Penn statue. That held true until 2007 when the Comcast Center was completed and now became the tallest building.
Philadelphia is full of vibrant night life, educational art museums, and tons of delicious cuisine options. Every native Philadelphian has their favorite Philly cheesesteak spot and will recommend it very highly. It is a fun city with a lot to explore and learn.
